Loyalty Card Schemes Points Cards

Everybody loves a bargain and if you use your loyalty card wisely you could earn quite a few rewards from it and even save yourself a small fortune.

The point in loyalty cards is the customers are encourages to continue using a store or service because of the rewards they receive by doing so. Stores and businesses that run loyalty reward schemes therefore know that the rewards on offer must be worth receiving otherwise the customer won’t be impressed and the loyalty scheme will be pointless. Because of this many companies go out of their way to impress customers and keep them coming back for more. But how do you get the most out of your loyalty card?

Always Use Your Card

The most obvious but most important rule when it comes to taking advantage of your loyalty scheme is basically to use it. It’s that simple. Many consumers sign up to a loyalty scheme but then don’t bother getting their loyalty card out when they make a purchase. Some don’t even bother bringing their card out with them. There is no point being part of a loyalty scheme is you are not going to use it. Even small purchases offer points and points add up.

As the saying goes look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves. So whenever you make a purchase, no matter how big or small, always remember to use you card and collect those points. In the long run you’ll find yourself much better off and with enough points to make a pretty tidy saving.

Sign Up For the Free Magazine if Possible

With most loyalty cards, once you sign up for the scheme you receive notices of savings and discounts that non-loyalty card holders do not have access to. Often these come in the form of a monthly magazine which is automatically sent to you and includes money-off vouchers, double points coupons and ideas and tips for getting more out of the companies products.

However it may be that you have to sign up for this magazine and it is not automatically sent to you. If this is the case, do it! It will only take a few minutes and if you ask an assistant at the store or business he or she will be able to tell you how you go about registering for the magazine or newsletter. This publication is there to help you maximise your rewards from using a loyalty card so make the most of it. Some stores offer the magazine free in store to loyalty card holders. If so be sure to pick up a copy when you go in.

Always Use Double Points Offers

It’s amazing how few people actually use double points coupons. These coupons, often in either the companies own publication or various consumer magazines, enable the consumer to double the amount of points they earn from buying a product and this is at no extra cost to the consumer.

Loyalty schemes are there to offer rewards so always take advantage of anything that makes the rewards more attractive and you could be reaping the benefits in the not too distant future.
